Established in 1967, Fletcher Stewart specialises in B2B distribution of products and brands operating through a network of retailers covering the UK, and with appointed distributors as far away as Japan and Australia.
The company is one of the market leaders in distributing products to the Forestry and Arboricultural, Industrial Work Safety and the Outdoor Leisure industries in the UK and abroad.
Fletcher Stewart’s website is a multi-site Magento Open Source environment. The development agency they had partnered with ceased to trade, and so they needed a new development agency.
Fletcher Stewart had multiple projects that they wanted to move forward with as well as a list of issues that the previous agency struggled to resolve.
Fluid’s head of business development and ecommerce delivery director sat down with Fletcher Stewart to discuss a solution to the objectives set out.
We planned a month-by-month sprint of all tasks in order of business priority and set out to complete them within the client’s budget.
The first challenge was to tackle the migration to the new server with the hosting provider. While this was in progress, we implemented the appropriate security patches and this was deployed to the new live server during the migration.
After hearing the challenges of their current payment provider, we connected them with our partner, Mollie Payments, and integrated the solution.
Mollie is an all-in-one payment solutions provider that offers a plug-and-play modular approach, offering wallet payments, Paypal, pay by link and card payments.
We integrated GA4 ecommerce tracking and third-party module upgrades. All four websites are now tracking sales and the modules are all up to date from a security and feature perspective.
We implemented an ease of use, product import document for Fletcher Stewart to update product data. This has helped the business across many fronts and has helped clean and improve data across the site.
The introduction of Mollie Payments has increased the conversion rate and overall revenue within two months of use compared to the previous period.
The site is fully secure with all of the latest security patches and upgrades for modules.
By adding in two-factor authentication, Fletcher Stewart has minimised the risk of being maliciously intruded which in turn is safety for their customers and the business.
Fletcher Stewart is now starting to use paid advertising with more accurate enhanced ecommerce tracking.
